Street Waste Company, an organisation charged with making a sustainable living a lifestyle for individuals, schools, organisations, and the government is organising the first Lagos Upcycle Tourism Event to showcase items made from materials which have been termed as waste.
Upcycling, also known as creative reuse is defined by Wikipedia as the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
Hence, the upcycling tourism event is aimed at enlightening the public about how value can be brought to and gotten from materials popularly regarded as waste.
Some of the highlights of the event are the display of upcycled products made by individuals and organisations.
